Full bio

Greg “Uncle G” Langford is living proof that it's never too late to kill. After a 43-year career in banking, he took his first open mic at 57 and came up through Atlanta's comedy rooms, calling the Atlanta Comedy Theater his home club.

Comedian Jess Hilarious gave him the name “Uncle G” and took him on the road as her opener. Since then he has performed in 27 states, from the Apollo Theater and Carolines on Broadway to the Laugh Factory and Helium.

In July 2026, at 68, his name was pulled from the bucket on Kill Tony #777. He left with a Golden Ticket, and clips of the set passed six million views. That August he performed at Kill Tony's Madison Square Garden show, and in October he returned to the main stage on #789.

He has released two comedy albums, Live from the Atlanta Comedy Theater (2018) and The Ballad of Uncle G (2022), and two books, including The Ballad of Uncle G: From Suicide Survivor to Stand-Up Comedian. As a speaker he brings that story to suicide-prevention and mental-health audiences, proving the hardest stories can still get the biggest laughs.
